Transcript for “Painted Woman” Trailer

After a theatrical run throughout the region late last year, the feature film “Painted Woman” will be made available on DVD and all major on-demand platforms beginning on February 6, 2018.

“Painted Woman” was filmed in Oklahoma utilizing the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO). The film began production in Oklahoma on September 11, 2016 and created 247 Oklahoma jobs throughout its 14-day shoot. With a direct spend in Oklahoma of over $1 million dollars, the positive economic impact of the production was felt throughout the state, including many of the film’s primary shooting locations of Oklahoma City, Ames, Norman and Guthrie.

Based on the acclaimed novel “The Mustanger and The Lady” by prolific western writer Dusty Richards, “Painted Woman” is a western romance about Julie Richards, a young woman who finds the courage to escape her captive lifestyle after being held against her will. The film, directed by Oklahoma native James Cotten, stars Stef Dawson (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay”), Matt Dallas (“Kyle XY”), Kiowa Gordon (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”), and David Thomas Jenkins (“Return to the Hiding Place”).
