“Translating God” Wraps Filming; Begins Post-Production in Oklahoma

Tulsa-based Impact Productions, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), is proud to announce the successful completion of principal photography of the television series “Translating God”. The series, which wrapped production on June 21, 2019, is utilizing the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by OF+MO.

Based on the book from bestselling author Shawn Bolz, “Translating God” is a new inspirational television series. Impact Productions is producing the ten episode program, which will air nationwide on the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN).

“We are so excited to be working with Shawn and helping share the message of this book with the world. It’s a project that would not have been made if it weren’t for the great rebate program Oklahoma has to offer.” said Micah Barnard, Producer at Impact Productions.

“As an Oklahoman, it’s been really encouraging to see all the strides made in our rebate program through the Film and Music Office. We’re looking forward to working on this new series here in Oklahoma and hope to do many more projects locally in the future,” said Kristian Kelly, Writer/Director at Impact Productions.

With filming wrapped, the series is now in post-production utilizing companies in Tulsa for editing, graphics, sound design, music and mixing. The project will be finished and delivered in late October.

“We’re incredibly proud to once again work with Tulsa’s own Impact Productions on another television series using the state’s film incentive,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “As our film industry continues to grow with the expansion of the film incentive, the opportunities for our local production companies to diversify their work increases as evidenced with this particular production’s ability to do post-production in Oklahoma. Post-production in itself creates an additional set of business opportunities which further the positive impact of film production in Oklahoma while also implementing the training and workforce development necessary for employment in this specific area of film production.”
