The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to be a returning partner of AMERICANAFEST in Nashville, Tenn., taking place September 17-21. In celebration of its 24th year, this festival and conference will showcase over 200 musical acts, including several Oklahoma artists, across 55 venues with nearly 300 events encompassing seminars, panels, networking opportunities and live music showcases.
As part of their partnership with AMERICANAFEST, OF+MO will host Rhythm & Routes: Oklahoma Music Event showcasing live performances from a selection of Oklahoma’s most talented musicians, including Ken Pomeroy, Jared Deck, Blaine Bailey and Jason Scott & the High Heat. An official AMERICANAFEST event, this celebration of Oklahoma’s music industry is co-presented by the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture and will be held on September 18, 12-3 p.m. at Acme Feed & Seed located at 101 Broadway. This event is free and open to the public as well as AMERICANAFEST badge holders.
“I’m ecstatic for the opportunity to participate and promote Oklahoma’s musical talent at this year’s AMERICANAFEST,” said musician and State of Oklahoma House District 44 Representative Jared Deck. “As both a legislator and a musician, developing and growing our musical economy is a priority. From Red Dirt to Rockabilly, Oklahoma has produced some of the greatest acts around and we want the world to hear what’s brewing!”
“Always an honor to be a voice for Oklahoma, and the incredible music scene that’s being cultivated there,” said musician Jason Scott of Jason Scott and the High Heat. “Big things ahead for so many friends and fellow artists; we’re fired up to be in the mix!”
Bringing together thousands of musical artists, industry professionals and fans alike, AMERICANAFEST is hosted by the Americana Music Association, a trade organization whose mission is to advocate for the authentic voice of American Roots Music around the world. Additional Oklahoma acts to be featured throughout AMERICANAFEST include Parker Millsap as well as this year’s Americana Honors & Awards nominees the Turnpike Troubadours, Kaitlin Butts and Wyatt Flores.
