The Oklahoma Film + Music Office Presents Pitch-A-Thon at SeriesFest Season 7

Celebrating its seventh year, the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to be a returning partner of SeriesFest, an award-winning annual independent television pilot festival based in Denver, Colorado, which will be held virtually June 24 – July 11, 2021.

Dedicated to showcasing innovative episodic content and championing artists at the forefront of such independent programming, SeriesFest Season 7 features the theme “What’s Next?” and will include a slate of special events, premieres and panels with talent and executives from Peacock’s “Epstein’s Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell” and “Dr. Death”, the CW’s “The Republic of Sarah”, Amazon Prime’s “The Underground Railroad”, Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah”, AMC’s “The Beast Must Die”, FX’s “Dave”, Paramount+ “The Real World Homecoming: New York” and more.  SeriesFest will also feature conversations with the likes of Jennifer Garner (“Alias”), YouTube’s Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl, Wondery’s Hernan Lopez, ColorCreative president Talitha Watkins and Mark Duplass (“Room 104”) and the Emmy Award-winning Ann Dowd (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) who will receive the inaugural SeriesFest Impact in Television Award.

OF+MO’s partnership with SeriesFest provides the opportunity to promote the state of Oklahoma as a top filming destination as a presenter of the festival’s Pitch-A-Thon. This program provides independent content creators the opportunity to participate in an exclusive live pitch session with top television, new media and digital executives in hopes of moving their unproduced projects forward. Each participant will have five minutes to pitch their projects live with the winner of the Pitch-A-Thon receiving a cash prize. SeriesFest pass holders may stream the Pitch-A-Thon live via the festival’s website with their login information beginning Friday, June 25, at 11:00 a.m. MDT / 12:00 p.m. CST.

“Television production is at the forefront of our minds having just hosted the production of our first full-season narrative scripted television series from the FX Network in Oklahoma, and the platform our partnership with SeriesFest provides is a valuable tool as we move our industry forward,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “From Oklahoma to Colorado and around the world, content creation is at an all-time high, and we’re excited to promote our state’s thriving production industry to the next generation of renowned content creators and esteemed participants at this year’s event.”

“The Pitch-A-Thon is one of our most exciting and watched events each year at SeriesFest,” said SeriesFest co-founder and CEO Randi Kleiner. “My favorite part is the community and support that is given to the very courageous creators who are pitching their ideas live. We are so grateful to have the Oklahoma Film + Music Office once again help amplify this event.”
