Seriesfest and the Oklahoma Film + Music Office Announces Open Call for Pitch-A-Thon Roadshow

SeriesFest, the nation’s premier episodic non-profit organization, in partnership with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), announces the opening of submissions for Pitch-A-Thon Roadshow.

SeriesFest’s popular Pitch-A-Thon program is hitting the road as the Pitch-A-Thon Roadshow. Independent content creators will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive virtual pitch session highlighting the state of Oklahoma with top television, new media and digital executives in hopes of moving their projects forward.

“As part of what makes SeriesFest a robust organization, we are proud to bring new partners to our competitions and impactful year-round initiatives,” said SeriesFest co-Founders Randi Kleiner and Kaily Smith Westbrook. “These programs are all about creating opportunities for students, creatives, and future industry executives to be seen, heard and celebrated.”

“After proudly sponsoring the Denver-based SeriesFest the last two years, OF+MO is thrilled to partner with the organization on this unique opportunity, which virtually brings the event to our own backyard and puts Oklahoma front and center in the minds of the talented, innovative film and television creators in which the festival engages,” said OF+MO Director, Tava Maloy Sofsky. “Oklahoma’s own creators will have a platform through SeriesFest to pitch the state and their projects like never before, while other participants will have tools readily available through OF+MO to creatively engage and tap into our state’s locations, talent and other production resources that will be showcased through their submissions and future works.”

Located just south of the geographic center of the US and equidistant between Los Angeles and New York City, Oklahoma has a lot to offer, including 12 distinct eco-regions where you can find everything from trademark Great Plains and sweeping prairies to the unexpected lush forest, expansive plateaus and sand dunes.

Participants in this virtual pitch opportunity will be selected from writers who submit their new series ideas that meet the required Oklahoma-focused criteria. Selections will be made by a panel of industry experts curated by SeriesFest. Once selected to pitch, writers will receive coaching from Working Artist Group to refine their pitch as well as a SeriesFest alumni mentor for one-on-one feedback before the event. All writers will get to watch the pitches and feedback live, providing an exciting educational opportunity for everyone.

Submission are now closed.

Pitch-A-Thon Roadshow is part of OF+MO’s Pivotal Work: Early Access FREE video series. For more information, visit okfilmmusic.org/ofmoconference.
