Open Call for Oklahoma Songwriters: Oklahoma Songwriter’s Festival

The Oklahoma Songwriter’s Festival and the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) announce an open call for two Oklahoma songwriters to perform during the opening of the Oklahoma Songwriter’s Festival Showcase. This showcase will be held at Tower Theatre on the evening of Saturday, April 14, 2018. Selected songwriters will perform two (2) original songs in an intimate setting to open the show.

The Oklahoma Songwriter’s Festival brings together prolific Nashville songwriters to write and perform over the course of a weekend, and incorporates an informative songwriter camp and premiere music showcase. 2018 participating songwriters include Bob Dipiero, a member of the Songwriter Hall of Fame; Travis Hill, Nashville-based hit maker; and Zac Maloy, former singer for The Nixons who has toured internationally and written with Daughtry, Blake Shelton and co-wrote Carrie Underwood’s number one song “Temporary Home”. In addition, Jaret Reddick, front man for Bowling For Soup, will also join this year’s festival. Riddick has also written songs for other artists and is the voice of characters on “Phineas and Ferb” as well as the voice of Chuck-E-Cheese. Select local Oklahoma songwriters will be invited to participate in private writing sessions during the festival.
