Oklahoma Film + Music Office to Participate in Tulsa Music Cities Convention

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) is proud to be a partner of the Tulsa Music Cities Convention to be held November 2-5, 2022, at various venues in downtown Tulsa. The convention will feature multiple days of music industry discussions, presentations, tours, live music performances, networking opportunities and more.

As a sponsor of the festival, OF+MO will be featured on a panel, “Music & Film: Let the Two Industries Collide,” which explores how cities and states can support both the music and film industries while increasing workforce, business and creative collaborations and opportunities among them. OF+MO will be represented by Deputy Director Jeanette Stanton who will join Georgia’s DeKalb Entertainment Commission Director Shelbia Jackson. Audio Planet Co-Founder and Tulsa’s own Stephen Tackett will serve as the panel’s moderator.

Hosted locally by Visit Tulsa, the Music Cities Convention is globally spearheaded by Sound Diplomacy’s Music Cities Events, an organization dedicated to educating audiences on the value of music through its initiatives and conferences focused on the business of music culture, policy and economy and the important role they play in communities and the development of robust music eco-systems.

“From the award-winning BOK Center and legendary Church Studio to the historic Cain’s Ballroom, Woody Guthrie Center and Bob Dylan Center, Tulsa is primed to host a global event of this kind,” said Stanton. “We look forward to joining our colleagues from across the world in learning more about the latest developments that can further synergize collaborative efforts among both state and city leadership as well as the local music industry to support its growth in Oklahoma.”
