Tulsa’s own Cloud Nine Productions Inc. (C9 Productions), in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), is pleased to announce production is underway for “In the Gap”, an original, ten-episode television series, which will broadcast on Trinity Broadcasting Networks beginning in early September. The series is utilizing the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by OF+MO.
Based on the book by Chicago pastor Wilfred De Jesus, which highlights Biblical heroes, the “In the Gap” series will add a new element by featuring contemporary individuals who have remained steadfast in their faith for their generation. “In the Gap” was written and adapted by several Oklahoma writers, including novelist Jan Dargatz.
“We are pumped to be shooting this in Oklahoma with our gifted crews, talent and front line production team,” said Johnny B. Graham, Producer and Founder of C9. “The Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program has been a huge part of this production being produced here in our state. I was on the Governor’s Film Board when the incentive program was launched, so it is a real blessing to see it flourish and bring this type of faith-based project to our homeland.”
Filming in Tulsa and the surrounding region, the production is utilizing an entirely Oklahoma-based crew with 97% of their on-screen talent being cast locally as well. Post-production, graphics and music will also be crafted in Oklahoma by C9’s boutique technicians and allies.
“Our office is proud to be working with C9 on this upcoming television series,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “Our office has a long history of working with C9 throughout the years prior to the current iteration of the state’s film incentive. To have this project qualify for the rebate program is another prime example of how our industry can continue growing from within by allowing our own Oklahoma filmmakers and production companies the opportunity to keep their work in-state.”
