Hanson to Host Third Annual Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival

Oklahoma native pop-rock trio Hanson will host the third annual Hop Jam Beer and Music Festival on Sunday, May 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Tulsa’s Brady Arts District. With a focus on providing a rich experience, this year’s festival has included a new Park Stage at Guthrie Green in addition to the main stage of musicians.

The free concert element of the festival will feature Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Albert Hammond Jr., X Ambassadors, Tulsa’s own John Moreland, Oklahoma City’s Chase Kerby and the Villains and Awesome Music Opening Band Contest winner RVRB, also from Tulsa.

In addition to the music, Hop Jam offers a robust craft beer festival, doubling in size this year, a beer garden and games on the lawn. The all-ages area of the festival is expanding to encompass Guthrie Green, to provide space for more family-oriented activities and entertainment. The runners up in the Awesome Music Opening Band Contest, which was open to Oklahoma bands, will be playing on the new Park Stage at Guthrie Green, including Groucho, Nightingale, Nicnos, The Young Vines and Sam Westhoff.

“Our office is proud to be a returning supporter of Hanson and their Hop Jam Festival,” said Oklahoma Film + Music Office Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “I encourage everyone of all ages to attend this event and enjoy music from some of Oklahoma’s finest talent as they take center stage with performances in the Brady Arts District and Guthrie Green area.”

Tickets for the craft beer portion of the festival vary in price from $35-$150 offering unlimited beer tasting, a commemorative Hop Jam tasting cup and more. To purchase tickets and for more information about the festival, please visit The Hop Jam.
