“Dinosaur World” Now Filming in Oklahoma

Dino World Productions, LLC, Flame Node Production, LTD, and Boiling Point Media, in association with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO), are proud to announce the start of production on the feature film “Dinosaur World”. The film is utilizing the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by OF+MO, and started principal photography July 25, 2019, with filming scheduled for multiple locations around the state.

With an entirely local crew, “Dinosaur World” marks the sixth feature film from Oklahoma’s own Ryan Bellgardt, who is directing. The film stars Shi Yanneng (“Kung Fu Hustle”, “Ip Man”) as well as Yi Zuo, a member of the popular Chinese band RTA, and Ming Zi Yu, a promising Chinese actress who can be seen in Tencent’s forthcoming teen drama “Over Again”.

“As an Oklahoma native, it’s an honor for me to be creating another feature film in my home state as well as introducing my great state to creators from across the globe,” said Bellgardt.

“Dinosaur World” is a sci-fi action feature that tells the story of a group of gamers brought together by a breakthrough in virtual reality software making the contestants feel like they’re experiencing everything in reality. With a life-changing cash prize at stake for the winner, the contestants must compete against themselves and the greatest predators to walk the planet – dinosaurs.

The film has secured a wide release in China, which will include a theatrical release, TV runs, and video on-demand across China’s top three online stream service providers. High Octane Pictures has joined the collaboration and will be in charge of managing the international sales.

“Through the quality of the accomplished work they create, Ryan and the team at Boiling Point Media continue to help elevate the international visibility of Oklahoma’s film industry,” said OF+MO Director Tava Maloy Sofsky. “In this case, the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program is not only growing our local film businesses, but also bringing global commerce to Oklahoma.”
