Cinedigm, in association with VMI Worldwide, BondIt Media Capital and Archer Film Productions, is proud to announce the digital and VOD release of “Awake” on August 16, 2019.
“Awake” (formerly titled “Wake Up”) tells the story of a man who wakes up in a hospital bed with no memory of who he is or how he ended up there. After learning he’s a suspect in a series of murders, he begins investigating his past with the help of his nurse, and uncovers information that may have deadly consequences for everyone involved.
“Awake” stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (“The Tudors”, “Stonewall”), Francesca Eastwood (“M.F.A.”, “Jersey Boys”), Malik Yoba (“Cool Runnings”), William Forsythe (“Halloween”, “The Rock”) and Oklahoma’s own James Austin Kerr (“Queen of the South”, “Dauntless”) who was recently appointed as a Young Oklahoma Creativity Ambassador by Creative Oklahoma and Oklahoma’s Governor, Kevin Stitt.
The film, which utilized the Oklahoma Film Enhancement Rebate Program administered by the Oklahoma Film + Music Office, began principal photography in March 2018 and was filmed throughout the communities of Oklahoma City and Guthrie.
“Awake” will be released on blu-ray and DVD September 24, 2019.
