Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Governor A.J. Seay Mansion is a crown jewel of community pride for the City of Kingfisher. The three story mansion was completed in March 1892 and built by Abraham Jefferson Seay, Oklahoma’s third territorial Governor (1892-1893). The mansion includes a reception hall, library, ballroom, seven fireplaces and a distinctive domed-rood tower. The property is owned by the Oklahoma Historical Society and managed by the Chisholm Trail Museum, Inc., which offers tours of the mansion with purchase of museum admission.
