Two temporarily full time stand-ins will be needed soon for the Christmas-themed feature film THE ONE, filming soon in Oklahoma. Filming will be in Guthrie and Enid, OK. Hotel rooms will be provided for the work in Enid.
Stand-ins work between shots in place of the actor, service a vital function for the crew as focus and lighting are adjusted for the scenes. It is a front-row seat to the process of filmmaking, and candidates should be patient, attentive and willing to learn.
Applicants must be the same height, skin tone and hair color as the main actors they are standing in for.
All candidates must be over the age of 18.
THE ONE is an inspirational Holiday film about Hawk, a Native American foster teen who ages out of the system and uses his train ticket out of Chicago to see the lighting of the tallest Christmas Tree in the United States. While Hawk is playing his guitar on the tracks, he runs into runaway teen, Alexis, who is grieving the loss of her twin sister. The two reminisce about Hawk’s Foster life, discuss the existence of God, and dodge her family who is frantically searching for her. The film is strewn with surprise comedic characters and twists and turns that will not only open eyes to the plight of the Foster system, but also remind us that it is never too late…whatever that may mean for you.
The film is written by Erin Elizabeth Cook and produced by Cook and Adam Ropp. Lisa Arnold is directing.
The stand-ins must be available December 10-11 in Guthrie, OK and December 12, 13 and 17-20 in Enid. If the selected stand-ins do good work, they will be invited back to the set when the film resumes shooting in early January until approximately January 20.
Pay for stand-ins is a guarantee of $175/day for up to 12 hours of filming. Anything over 12 hours will incur overtime.
BREAKDOWN OF STAND-INS
MALE SI – Caucasian, Native American or Hispanic male, 5’11” – 6’1″, olive skin, dark hair, thin build, 20-30 years old.
FEMALE SI – Caucasian female, 5’3″ – 5’5″, long dark blonde or light brown hair, thin build, 30-45 years old.
