Kirkpatrick & Kinslow Productions is an Emmy Award-winning film production company specializing in short and feature length fiction & documentary films. In 2014, Russ Kirkpatrick & Andy Kinslow started the company and two years later won an Emmy Award for their first film “Boomtown: An American Journey”. The documentary focuses on pieces of Tulsa, Oklahoma’s unique heartland history. California Pictures acquired distribution rights last month for the company’s second documentary, the unlikely story of a group of religious misfits in “Unlikely Family”. Kirkpatrick & Kinslow’s third featured length documentary is in post-production — the riveting story of Susan Suchan, in“Susan’s Story.”
Kirkpatrick & Kinslow Productions also has several projects in development:
- “Will To Win” A feature length movie, featuring the wit & wisdom of Will Rogers, in collaboration with the Rogers’ family, and New York Times best-selling author Jim Stovall.
- “Headrights”, a supernatural thriller digging deep into Oklahoma’s Osage murders.
- “Breaking Chain” is a documentary focusing on global incarceration, with Oklahoma at ground zero for women.
“Collaborating in Oklahoma on film projects means economic development to Kirkpatrick & Kinslow. For each project we are producing in Oklahoma, a large part of the funding piece stays within the community in which we work, ultimately providing a long-lasting positive economic benefit to everyone who lives there,” said Kirkpatrick.
