Film Artist for January 2017: Dylan Brodie

Dylan Brodie is from Ramona, Oklahoma, a tiny town of just 500 people. He began editing films in 2008, slowly making his way from local to national film festivals, which led to work on Food Network productions and feature films for both Magnet Releasing and Blumhouse Productions. He served as Unit Production Manager and 2nd Assistant Director on Sterlin Harjo’s latest Oklahoma feature film, “Mekko”, which has played all over the world. Brodie continued on to produce the first season of “Flipping the Heartland” for HGTV and most recently worked on several projects of all sizes throughout Oklahoma in 2016 including the STARZ TV series “American Gods”, feature films “Starbright” and “Wildlife”, and commercials for various companies including Warstic baseball bats featuring Jack White (premiering nationwide in 2017). Dylan continues to produce, production manage and shoot various projects in his home market of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“Seeing Oklahoma’s film scene continue to grow is a great source of pride and an inspiration for me. We, in our great state, have only just begun, yet we’ve already shown what we’re capable of to filmmakers and audiences across the globe. We’ve demonstrated that productions of all sizes can be created here with all of our film-friendly ecoregions and endlessly talented crew. Growing our crew into the next generation of filmmakers here in Oklahoma is my number one priority. The work is hard and the hours long, but I love creating cinema in Oklahoma and it’s far more rewarding than I could ever imagine.”
