Featured Location for October 2017: Rock-A-Way Tavern

Built in 1932 by a Federal Marshal and his prisoners, the historic Rock-A-Way Tavern has been a staple of Guthrie, Oklahoma, for over 80 years. The bar’s renowned annual Halloween party completely transforms the two-story venue and outdoor deck into a festive paradise featuring over-the-top haunted house decorations for guests to enjoy. This film-friendly location has been featured in a number of films and television productions including National Geographic’s “Mudcats” as well as the Oklahoma produced films “Heartland” and “Southern Tale”, the latter of which will be making its world premiere at the 2017 Austin Film Festival.
