Cloggers and fiddlers from across the United States will gather in the Grove Civic Center and Snider’s Camp for an exciting weekend of contests and entertainment Thursday, June 11 through Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the American Heritage Music Festival hosted by Grand Lake Festivals, Inc.
The American Heritage Music Festival celebrates musical heritage with three stages of entertainers and bands featuring the Round-Up Boys, Jana Jae, Prairie Breeze String Band, Blue Pearl and more. Headliner for the Saturday night concert is Oklahoma fiddler Kyle Dillingham who has electrified and energized audiences in over 30 countries around the world. National fiddle and clogging competitions and workshops will also take place with the top prize for each contest being $1000.
In addition to the contests, the festival is adding a “Grove-Stage 5” for jamming and performing. This will be a fun fiddle gathering for all acoustic instruments and styles, from old-time, folk, blue grass to Celtic and swing with the requirement of a fiddler in each band.

The public is invited to the Kick-off Party and Cook-Out at Snider’s Campground south of Grove on Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees on Thursday night and again on Friday night for another evening of delicious food and great entertainment. Admission to the campground is free to the public on Thursday night with a nominal fee charged on Friday night.

New and exciting events are planned including the Acoustic Music Gathering on ‘Grove-Stage 5’ on the south end of the Civic Center during the American Heritage Music Festival. The Grand Lake Festivals, Inc., founded by Jana Jae, renowned national touring violinist/fiddler and “First Lady of Country Fiddling,” help promote Oklahoma and the performing arts, including music, art, dance and drama by providing workshops, shows, festivals, educational seminars and concerts.
Tickets for the American Heritage Music Festival range from $5-$30 and provide entrance to the fiddle competitions, entertainment and the groups playing on ‘Grove-Stage 5’ plus the opportunity to sample food from the food vendors and shop the arts and crafts booths.
